She stands on the shoulders of the late Attorney Herman L. Taylor and the late Judge Elreta Alexander Ralston. Lady Cheryl is a former Associate Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice and a former Assistant District Attorney for the 18th Prosecutorial District – Guilford County. God has shifted her legal focus to now assist churches and ministries with the legal process of formation and also provide training to church leadership.
Lady Cheryl has been involved in the community since her early college days, joining with the National Black Child Development Institute, Dreambuilders, the WRAP Network, North Carolina Black Leadership Caucus, Guilford County Partnership for Children, Welfare Reform Liaison Project, Triad Minority Development Council, and Virtuous Woman Prayer Ministry. One of Lady Cheryl’s greatest joys in life is exhorting and encouraging men and women to grow and mature on their Christian journey. A favorite quote of hers is from a Cancer Treatment Centers of America commercial that says: “You may be weak and you may be sick, but you have to take responsibility for your own recovery.”
